Shannon + Brian
I love these two and their Pat’s Barn wedding was amazing! I was so excited to photograph their wedding and Shannon and I had become friends along the way, so that makes me even more excited! Add to that, Brian being an expert light seeker and you get magic! These two were open to anything for their photos including going on a strangers balcony for pics when she offered us access on the street, to hanging out mid parking lot to be in some really pretty sunlight, to running through the woods and finding all of the random patches of sun - all of this makes for the best photos ever and certainly a good time while you’re taking the photos! They have great taste and made their Pat’s Barn wedding perfect via many small details, beautiful decor and of course including their amazing friends and family! Here’s to Shannon and Brian and to many years of exploring and always finding the best light!!
How they met, by Shannon: Shannon and Brian officially met in high school, over ten years ago, but they both like to think they ran into each other as toddlers, as they grew up just six houses away from each other until Brian was about 4 years old. When they caught up with each other again in their teenage years, they both found solace in each other after they both left separate relationships. They started to get to know each other, became close, decided to give this a go and the rest is history.
As they attended different colleges, they took tons of train rides to see each other and sent countless text messages throughout the day. They cherished every moment they had together. 4 years ago, Brian took a leap and decided to move to California for work. Shannon packed a bag and went west too, where they both currently live. Shannon and Brian love hiking, comedy TV shows, going to the farmers market Saturday mornings and traveling.
