Speeches Before Food

There is a lot to be said for doing your speeches right after your first dance (and parent dances, if you like) that allows for a level of interaction and attention that simply doesn’t happen when people have food in front of them! Having speeches during dinner has been a long running tradition, however, after seeing so many couples in 2018 and 2019 branch out and do it their way, I saw photos evolve into something that you just can’t get when guests (and the couple) is half listening as they eat or laughing with a fork or heaven forbid, mouth full of food! Those photos exist and are of course still good to have, but when you can craft your day to allow you to fully focus on each other and the person speaking, you can get truly emotional and engaged photos that you just can’t truly capture when food is present.

Take a peek, this method isn’t for everyone, but if you’re open to it, it is SO worth it on the photo front and also in the level of attention it gives to the person speaking (which is the whole point)!
