Katelyn + Remy
How they met: We met through a non-profit we participated in college called Camp Kesem. It provides a summer camp and supper system for children whose parents have or had cancer. I served on the board and as a counselor for a couple of years and worked really closely with two people (one a bridesmaid and the other will be our officiant!) in the organization who were close to Remy and still had not met Remy. We saw each other briefly a few times when he became a counselor and participated in trainings. In the end, he had to be moved to the unit I was in charge (units were age groups of the campers based by color). We had a few people drop and we were switching people around between weeks of camp. My friend who will be our officiant said Remy would be great with younger kids, which was my orange unit of 6-7 year olds, and the rest is kind of history! Remy asked me out pretty shortly after camp ended and our first date was a Washington National’s baseball game (Remy loves baseball and played club throughout college)! We just celebrated 4 years together and are getting more and more excited everyday for our wedding!
