What a perfect place for a wedding. Camp Canaras was idyllic and set the tone for a beautiful wedding weekend. This couples family traveled from around the world to Upper Saranac Lake for a sweet, loving and calm celebration of these two joining together. From lawn games, to kids on bikes, to sitting on the porch in a sleeping bag because it was a bit chilly, it was the best hang out vibe I've seen in years! These two created the perfect space for their guests to just be. What more can someone ask for? They celebrated a Quaker ceremony nestled among the hemlocks, hearing words of love, encouragement, and support from their guests as sweet blips among the silence. If you are new to the Quaker wedding ceremony, take a quick google and learn a bit about it. I did and I can say that I wish so many ceremonies took this approach. It was beautiful to get to witness and be part of. Dinner was in a cozy tent and wrapped up with a second line parade to lead their guests to the boathouse for dancing! This was truly one to remember and I wish this lovely couple every happiness.
