Alison + Bill
Alison and Bill ventured all the way from Boston for their Lake Placid Lodge Elopement! They found the quaint town of Lake Placid while searching online and decided it was the perfect place to escape for a few days to get married! In our first phone call, they filled me in on their plans and when I asked them how many guests there would be and they replied "none, just you and the officiant", I have to say, I was over the moon excited! I've photographed small weddings, but never a true elopement with just the couple and an officiant. Well, I have now and as a major bonus, they asked me to be their witness, so I had the immense privilege of being the one to sign their marriage license and also photograph them. We had great afternoon together, adventured around the town, into the woods, onto a gorgeous field, and of course in front of the mountains for some amazing photos and some truly intimate time together. What better way to start your marriage than with a few days alone, an adventure, and photos to tell the entire story!?! I'm not sure there is a better way, so, with that, here is their story...
